How to find us

The Chair of Information Systems II at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg is located at the School of Business and Economics in Nuremberg (Germany). We are located in the new building of the University complex in Nuremberg, facing the northern part of the medieval city wall. Restricted parking is possible in the parking garage at Hirschelgasse or at the parking lot at Lange Gasse. Free parking is available around the campus.

Arrival by Train

At the central train station (Hauptbahnhof) take the subway line "U2" in direction "Flughafen" (airport). After a 3 minute ride you reach the station "Rathenauplatz". In westward direction walk along "Aeußere Laufer Gasse". After about 150 meters directly in front of a pedestrian crossing turn right into "Hirschelgasse". Follow the sign "Universitaet". After another 100 meters on your right, pass the entrance of the university parking garage and then access the pathway on your right. At the end of the stairs you reach the university building.

Arrival by Car

Enter „Lange Gasse 20“ in your navigation system to reach the parking lot.

Arrival from Frankfurt/Würzburg on the A3: Exit the Autobahn A3 at Nürnberg-Nord in direction "Nürnberg" (B2). Follow the "Äußere Bayreuther Straße" until you reach the "Rathenauplatz" (you will notice this place by the Telekom-building and the middle-aged tower on your right and the Universa insurance and the Norisbank on your left). Follow the sign "Altstadt-Ost" in the "Äußere Laufer Gasse" (a two-lane one way street). After ca. 100 meters turn right and immediately left into "Hirschelgasse". After another 100 meters (passing the museum Tucherschloss on your right hand) turn right into the one way street Treibberg and at the end right again into Lange Gasse. 50 meters ahead you will find the university parking lot.

Arrival from Stuttgart/Heilbronn on the A6: Take the autobahn A6 and exit at Autobahnkreuz Nürnberg-Süd, then take the autobahn A73 (direction "Würzburg"). Exit the autobahn at Nürnberg-Zollhaus, then take "Münchner Strasse" in direction "Nürnberg Zentrum". Approx. 1,5 km after passing the Nuremberg fair ground on your right turn right and follow the street (first Bayernstraße, later on Ben-Gurion-Ring, Marienbader-, Passauer-, Cherusker- and Dr.-Gustav-Heinemann-Straße). After crossing the "Wöhrder See" make a left turn on the next light in the "Äußere Sulzbacher Straße". Follow the street until you reach "Rathenauplatz" (you will notice this place by the Norisbank on your left and the middle-aged tower on the opposite side). Cross the place and enter the "Äußere Laufer Gasse" (a two-lane one way street) in direction "Altstadt". After ca. 100 meters turn right and immediately left into "Hirschelgasse". Arrival from Munich on the A9: Take the autobahn A9, exit at "Nürnberg-Fischbach", then take the "Regensburger Straße" (B4) in direction "Nürnberg-Zentrum". Make a right turn when you reach the "Dutzendteich" (a lake), and follow the street (first Bayernstraße, later on Ben-Gurion-Ring, Marienbader-, Passauer-, Cherusker- and Dr.-Gustav-Heinemann-Straße). After crossing the Wöhrder See make a left turn on the next light in the "Äußere Sulzbacher Straße". Follow the street until you reach "Rathenauplatz" (you will notice this place by the Norisbank on your left and the middle-aged tower on the opposite side). Arrival from Berlin on the A9: Take the autobahn A9 until you reach the Autobahnkreuz Nürnberg, then take the autobahn A3 in direction "Würzburg" and exit at "Nürnberg-Behringersdorf" in direction "Nürnberg-Zentrum" (B 14). Follow the street (the name changes from Erlenstegenstraße to Äußerer Sulzbacher Straße and finally into Sulzbacher Straße) for ca. 7 km until you reach "Rathenauplatz" (you will notice this place by the Norisbank on your left and the middle-aged tower on the opposite side). Cross the place and enter the "Äußere Laufer Gasse" (a two-lane one way street) in direction "Altstadt". After ca. 100 meters turn right and immediately left into "Hirschelgasse". After another 100 meters (passing the museum Tucherschloss on your right hand) turn right into the one way street Treibberg and at the end right again into Lange Gasse. 50 meters ahead you will find the university parking lot.

Arrival by Plane

Arrival at the Nuremberg International Airport: Take subway line "U2" in direction "Röthenbach". After about 9 minutes you will reach "Rathenauplatz". In westward direction walk along "Äußere Laufer Gasse". After about 150 meters directly in front of a pedestrian crossing turn right in the "Hirschelgasse" (map). After another 100 meters pass the entrance of the university parking garage and then access the footway on your right. At the end of the stairs you reach the university building.
